We are looking to hire an Organizational Development Specialist to own the strategies and processes that drive our culture. This role will partner with staff to develop and execute people strategies and policies focused on organizational effectiveness, performance management, employee engagement, leadership development, talent pipeline and diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are building a Talent team to support the next phase of growth for Ursa and are looking for a trailblazing OD professional. You will be part of a quickly growing Talent that is not only willing to roll up our sleeves, but also tactically assists the Leadership Team to improve Talent programs in line with Ursa’s business strategy.
Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $70,000 - $90,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. URSA'S COVID POLICY:

As a U.S. government contractor, Ursa Major is subject to President Biden’s September 9, 2021 Executive Order on Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors requiring federal contractors to be fully vaccinated from COVID-19. As such, Ursa Major requires employees to either show proof of vaccination or demonstrate an exemption for medical or religious reasons by December 8, 2021. Responsibilities
  • Participate in talent planning initiatives, identifying internal high potential team members and supporting development programs
  • Partner with Talent team and business leaders on the implementation of retention strategies focusing on team members with core competencies or skills critical to the organization
  • Sustain development high caliber talent by analyzing internal and external metrics to assess organizational effectiveness
  • Own execution of performance management cycle and support all activities associated with performance management (e.g. OKRs, performance reviews, succession planning)
  • Execute engagement surveys and recommend changes to positively impact the business
  • Provide input on change management initiatives and communication within business unit
  • Support organizational restructuring, under the direction of the HRBP and leadership
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on diversity and inclusion efforts with an emphasis on attracting and retaining diverse talent
  • Responsible for management of both the internship and mentor programs, evaluate opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to build relationships with universities and create pipeline for future interns
  • Responsible for the coordination, implementation, and management of leadership development and training programs throughout Ursa Major
  • Provide timely feedback on effectiveness and value of processes and tools
  • Identify and assess human capital needs and work collaboratively to develop and implement value-added solutions
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, I/O Psychology or related field
  • Minimum 3 years working in Organizational Development, HR Strategy or Leadership Development
  • Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with managers and co-workers at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong analysis and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Proven ability to develop processes and procedures to drive efficiency
  • Experience executing performance management programs
  • Experience managing employee development and D&I initiatives
  • Curious thought leader that remains current on emerging employee development trends
  • Always act as a leader with an ownership mentality
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in HR analytics using data to influence decisions and business leaders
  • Experience in a high-growth company
  • Understanding of change management and agile principals
  • Familiar with leadership and aptitude assessment tools (e.g. DISC, Hogan’s HPI, Raven, Watson Glaser)
  • Experience leading training sessions or a certified trainer
