DescriptionUrsa Major's team moves fast and does a lot with little. We are looking for a forward thinking and detail oriented Supply Chain Analyst who can help develop strong external relationships with our suppliers and build a stable, long term supply chain for our products.
This role will include supplier management, purchasing/procurement, demand planning and production scheduling. This person will report directly to the COO of Ursa Major and work with both the technical design teams and the operations team building hardware.ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities include:- Supplier management and development. Includes developing tools to manage and rate our suppliers.- Purchasing and procurement. This includes all purchase order requests and long term agreements with our suppliers.- Demand planning. This will include annual and quarterly forecasting for purchasing.- Weekly reports on supplier performance and system fill against the bill of materials.- Building a team over the next few years to manage suppliers and procure hardware.
Secondary responsibilities include:- Improvements on our purchasing processes and procedures.- Supplier visits and quality auditing.- Growing the role of supply chain within the organization.- Development purchasing support.
Qualifications- Bachelor and/or Master’s in engineering and/or a technical field.- At least 3 – 5 years in the supply chain field.- Business degree or MBA is a plus.- Experience within an ERP environment.- Written or edited business process documentation within a quality management system.- Extensive Excel and database work.
