DescriptionUrsa Major’s team moves fast and does a lot with little. We are looking for a skilled, fast learning individual who can help build our operations team. This role will range from engine assembly to metal working to inventory management and shop upkeep. We need an individual who wants to improve everything around him/her.
This role will report into the Finance and Operations team of Ursa Major. He/she will work directly with our current team of senior technicians. We expect a lot of our teammates and this role will grow over time based on the employee’s desire to gain more responsibility.
ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities include:- Handle all shop work and overall shop organization (metal work, machining, tube bending, general organization, etc.).- Inventory management (counts, restocking levels, etc.).- Engine assembly and aerospace component build ups.- Daily walkdowns and procedure developmet.- Facility stand work, installing GSE, general engine stand up-keep.Secondary responsibilities include:- Supporting the engineering team with any and all requests.- Helping keep the company and shop organized.- Learning engine test operations and shadowing our senior technician team.
Qualifications- US CITIZENSHIP OR PERMANENT RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED- At least 10 years in an aerospace, automotive or similar field.- A&P certification is a plus.- Comfortable with high precision hardware assembly, machining, etc.- Aerospace component work a plus.- Plumbing, electrical or other GSE related skills is required.
