Engineering TeamYou will design, test, and manufacture components and subsystems for liquid rocket engines. Projects will include engine level testing and component development along with test facility design, upgrades, and maintenance. You will work on a small, dedicated team and be given a high level of responsibility and ownership.
ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities of this role are:- Plan, execute, and review testing of valves, pumps, sensors, actuators, and other engine components- Troubleshoot and resolve engine component hardware issues, implement and test necessary design changes- Design, assemble, and integrate component test fixtures and special test equipment- Execute initial prototype, qualification, and acceptance testing at the engine system level- Support ongoing test stand operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting- Develop, maintain, and utilize test data analysis tools
Qualifications- US CITIZENSHIP OR PERMANENT RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master's is a plus)- Working knowledge of and hands-on experience with fluid, mechanical, and electrical systems- Working knowledge of test instrumentation and setups, including data acquisition- Willingness to own component or subsystem specification, prototyping, testing, integration, and troubleshooting- Desire to take ownership and help wherever needed on the team
Desirable Experience- Liquid propellant rocket engine testing- Significant test program facility operation and maintenance experience- Specification, design, or manufacturing of electromechanical systems- Specification and design of tooling and special test equipment- Computer Aided Design using PTC Creo or similar- Data Acquisition and Control using National Instrument’s LABVIEW
